Tribute to a beautiful Woman
A WOMAN OF STRENGTH
The year-old, of Blackburn Road, Oswaldtwistle, plunged from the top floor of the Accrington Arndale car park at around 10am on Thursday, June 5. We were privileged to have spent her short life with her and it is a void that can never be filled. A funeral service will be held at Accrington Crematorium on Friday, June 13 at 3pm. Those wishing to attend are asked to wear odd socks, a trend fashioned by Lauren. Family flowers only and donations to Child Line or Young Minds. DC Rachel Higson, of Blackburn CID, said: "Lauren suffered with mental health issues throughout her teenage years for which she actively sought help, engaged with professionals and was prescribed medication. A protest march is set to be held on Saturday, June 21 at 11am from the Town Hall to the Arndale Centre to campaign for restricted public access to the Arndale Centre car park roof.
I write this with great sadness over the unimaginable loss of a close friend to cancer. She was She fought a brave and strong battle for two years but the cancer would not allow her to get better. She took each day in stride, never really complaining, always feeling tired and always hoping that the treatments would finally end so she could get on with her life. This was my hope too.
Prev Poem. To all you beautiful women who have been part of my life, I am glad you shared in my joys and supported me in moments of strife. On you, may God's abundant blessings pour, And when, like me, solace you need, a helping hand may He send to your door. Women, because of each of you, I am the kind of person you see today. You played an important part at some stage, in some way. Your words of advice and encouragement or just a listening ear Have helped me move forward and to get rid of many a fear. I am now blessed to help other women, who beyond their pain can't see, By giving them what I received from you, thus saving them from the fate that theirs could be.
If you are familiar with my writing, then you know I often opine about politics, pop culture, and even sports on occasion.

Note to readers: I wrote this column three years ago when my mother died, before I started writing for The Chronicle. I hear it all the time. Everyone obviously has the right to his opinion regarding old age, but when I hear those words, I think She died last weekend at the ripe age of 90, and she had no interest or desire to leave this world. Diagnosed with emphysema she smoked, but quit 60 years ago , she has had an oxygen tube in her nose 24 hours a day for more than six years. She also started using a walker six years ago and a wheelchair two years ago.
I wrote this poem as a gift for my Mother, Sinai Pale. She is a true inspiration in my life. I am grateful for the example that she is and the life of faith that she continues to lead. She learns from her mistakes and acknowledges that she too is not perfect She speaks with words of wisdom and not malice From the mouths of destruction, her smile remains unshaken She lifts her head and continues to walk in the midst of turmoil. Thank you. My Mother was the inspiration behind this piece.
The mother of Hull student Libby Squire, whose body was found in the Humber Estuary on Wednesday, has paid a heartbreaking tribute to her 'beautiful baby girl.
