Spiritual man watchman nee pdf free download
The Spiritual Man by Watchman NeeThis book has taken me the best part of a year to read. It is so deep and insightful that it has to be read in small chunks, digested and absorbed.
The Spiritual Man is a very thorough treatment of the way that the human spirit, soul and body interact with God and with the world. Too often we make assumptions about the way that human beings work that are just not right. If we read the Bible closely we find that it is full of references about the way we are made and the way that we fellowship with God. For some reason, though, these teachings just dont have the impact on our thinking that they should.
Although this book dates back to 1968 it is still very useful for pastors, teachers and other Christian leaders.
Watchman Nee (1903–1972) was a Chinese Christian author and church leader during the early 20th century. He spent the last 20 years of his life in prison and was severely persecuted by the Communists in China. During his 30 years of ministry, beginning in 1922, Nee travelled throughout China planting churches among the rural communities and holding Christian conferences and trainings in Shanghai. In 1952 he was imprisoned for his faith, remaining there until his death.

Having already borne two daughters, she prayed that if God should give her a son, she would give him back to God. As the boy grew up, he showed every sign of promise except he had no interest in things spiritual. It was not till he was seventeen years of age that he was met by the Lord. He knew at that time that he must accept Christ Jesus as his Savior, yet he struggled over the necessity of surrendering his life to the Lord. The love of Christ finally overwhelmed him and he capitulated to Christ. This was on April 29, He had such a love for the Word of God that he studied it almost incessantly, so within a very short period he had read the whole Bible several times.
Explanatory Notes, and Preface 1, and Preface 2 Explanatory Notes The Spiritual Man is a translation of the only book of any substantial size which brother Watchman Nee himself ever wrote. At the time of writing it he felt this work might be his last contribution to the church, although since then God has graciously overruled. Long after the book's initial publication in Chinese our brother once was heard to express the thought that it should not be reprinted because, it being such a "perfect" treatment of its subject, he was fearful lest the book become to its readers merely a manual of principles and not a guide to experience as well. But in view of the urgent need among the children of God today for help on spiritual life and warfare, and knowing our brother as one who is always open to God's way and most desirous to serve His people with all that God has given him, we conclude that he would doubtless permit it to be circulated in English. Hence this translation.
To live by the spirit we must move in accordance with the delicate sense of its intuition and depend on its enabling to accomplish the revealed task. Simply keep in mind that the moment we cease to follow our intuitive sense at that very moment we begin to walk after the flesh and end up minding the things of the flesh. The insight and wisdom of this book is hard to describe. So deep and full does the spiritual insight and wisdom of Watchman Nee run that few in our modern age are willing to take the time and sacrifice to even began to comprehend the level of spirituality that this man calls us into. If one has any delusional fantasies of spiritual maturity they will be quickly demolished after one begins to read this unique and special book.
