A hare is a very similar animal to a rabbit, but hares are more rare.
But here are some valuable lessons that could be gleaned with some interesting twists in the tale. As parents, teaching kids the fine values of losing a game like a sport or helping them recognize their strengths makes for a constant and on-going effort. It began with how the story originally played out with the hare losing the race. This is exactly what the students emphasized. Of course not!
You might remember the story of the Rabbit and the Turtle who challenged each other to a race. Round 1 : The rabbit was of to a blazing start while the turtle trudged a long slowly and was way behind. The rabbit seeing his big advantage rested under a tree and fell asleep. When he woke up he saw the turtle crossing the finish line. The Turtle won. The rabbit can not accept the fact that he lost challenged the turtle again.
