Jan 22, PM. When movies are made based off of books, they are usually met with mixed results. Then there are the bad ones, like Twilight ETC. Diary of a Wimpy kid's film was a mixed bag, more good than bad in my opinion. Here are some comparisons and contrasts. While the movie had it's accuracies, it had a lot of changes from the book to the movie.
However, there are so many choices of book for this genre and as a regular reader I tend to compare this book genre and choose what I love the most. Tom Gates by Liz Pichon.

The summer just started and Greg Heffley is more of an indoor person but when his dad takes away the T. He tries to do many outdoor projects but they all end in a disaster. When he looks back at his crazy summer, he realized that it was not that bad and possibly the best summer yet. Personally, I like the movie better than the book because even though the movie left out a lot that was in the book, it had an addition of things that were better.
